How buying Pro works

Recordist is free with no time limit. Pro adds unlimited AI notes, drafted follow-up emails and Ask. Checkout opens plan by plan. Once Pro’s checkout is open, you buy it from the pricing page, with no account to create; until then, the Pro button there asks for your email instead.

At checkout

The Pro button opens a checkout page run by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe takes your card details; we never see your card number.
Pro’s price is on the pricing page, in US dollars. Any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live is shown on the checkout page before you pay.
Checkout asks for your email address, which is where your licence key goes, and your billing address, which is used to work out tax.
Before you pay, checkout says that the subscription renews automatically until you cancel, and asks you to accept the Terms of Service.

After you pay

You land on a thank-you page, and two emails arrive: Stripe’s receipt, and your licence key from [email protected], usually within a few minutes. Check spam if the key is not there after ten minutes.
Open Recordist, go to Settings → License, paste the key and click Activate. The key is checked on your computer, offline. More about licence keys.
If the key does not arrive, write to [email protected] from the address you used at checkout and we send it again.

Renewals

Pro renews automatically every month or every year until you cancel. If the price changes, we email you at least 30 days before the renewal it applies to, and you can cancel before then.
Each renewal comes with a Stripe receipt and a new licence key by email. To use it, click Deactivate on this device in Settings → License, then paste the new key and click Activate. A key works until 7 days after the period it covers, so you have a week to do this.
If a payment fails, Stripe tries again and emails you so you can update your card at recordist.app/billing. If the period ends unpaid, the key stops 7 days later and the app returns to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted.

Switching, cancelling, refunds

Switch between monthly and yearly billing, update your card or download invoices at recordist.app/billing.
Cancel at any time in the same place. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. How to cancel.
Any payment can be refunded in full within 14 days, no questions asked. How refunds work.

Team

Team checkout is not open yet. Its button on the pricing page takes your email so you hear when it opens.
