What changed, and when.

New

• Privacy Ledger (Settings → Privacy): every network request the app has ever made, with host and bytes, recorded on your machine. Audio never appears because audio never leaves the device.
• Prep Brief on the Meetings screen when a calendar event with attendees starts within 45 minutes: last meeting's summary and decisions with those people, and every open action item.
• First-run acceptance of the Terms and of recording-consent responsibility, stored on your machine with version and time; a consent reminder on the record card; an About tab with disclaimers and third-party licences.
• Delete all my data (Settings → Privacy). Help & feedback in the menu bar or system tray and About, pointing at the Help Center and support, with a one-business-day human reply.
• Also in this release: auto-export folder, tags and stars, the global start/stop hotkey (Cmd or Ctrl+Shift+R), a 45-second auto-dismiss on the record prompt, and optional remote start, off by default.

Changed

• Every new install starts as a 14-day Pro trial with no card and no account. After it, Free keeps unlimited recording, transcription, search and Prep Briefs with 3 AI notes a month; Ask and follow-up emails are Pro.
• Pricing is Free, Pro ($6 a month or $48 a year) and Team ($9 per user a month). There is no lifetime plan.

Fixed

• Our build pipeline had never run; it now compiles every platform on every change.
• Licence verification could accept a key when the app was built without its verification key. The key is now embedded and tested.
• Local notes could exhaust memory on 8 GB Macs. Context is now sized by installed memory, long transcripts are condensed in parts, and the speech model is unloaded before notes run.

New

• Versioned database migrations; the local connections refuse requests that do not come from your own machine; imported audio files are validated.
• Export diagnostics (Settings → General): one file with versions, settings (keys removed), permissions, database counts and recent log lines. No audio, no transcripts.
• Signed automatic updates. Security advisories in the website's and app's dependencies resolved.

Fixed

• Meeting detection never fired on macOS. It now names the app that actually opened the microphone and tells Meet, Teams, Zoom and Webex apart in a browser.
• Auto-stop never fired because Recordist counted its own capture as the microphone being in use.
• System stalls on 8 GB Macs during notes; the speech model is unloaded first and the local model releases memory three minutes after use.
• Meetings left "summarising" after a crash or restart are recovered at startup. Siri and dictation no longer trigger a prompt. A crash on quit.

New

• Automatic meeting titles and attendees from the macOS Calendar (read-only) and from the meeting app's window title.
• The record prompt can be moved, minimised to a pill, and snoozed for 10 minutes, an hour or the rest of the day. It pauses its countdown while you hover.
• Per-app "record without asking", a prompt sound, a "notes ready" notification, and menu-bar or tray-only mode.
• Import an existing audio file for transcription. Speaker-bleed suppression and transcription noise filters.

Everything

• Background meeting detection with a confirm-to-record prompt; two-channel capture (your mic and the other participants) on macOS.
• On-device transcription with voice-activity detection and automatic language detection.
• AI notes from a local model or your own Anthropic or OpenAI-compatible key, with templates for standups, sales calls, 1:1s and interviews.
• Full-text search, action items, Ask, markers, and exports to Markdown, SRT, VTT and JSON.
• A local API, an MCP server and an A2A agent for your assistants; a Chrome extension for browser calls; offline licence keys.
