How to delete everything

Because nothing is stored anywhere but your machine, deleting is complete and immediate. There is no server-side copy to request removal from.

One meeting

Open it and click Delete. Its transcript segments, notes, action items, markers and search-index rows are removed from the database, and its audio folder is deleted from disk.

Just the audio

Audio on Free is deleted 30 days after each meeting automatically. To remove it sooner: Settings → Capture → Keep audio lets you choose a shorter period or “delete after transcription”. Transcripts and notes stay.

Everything, then quit

Settings → Privacy → Delete all data removes the database, every audio folder, downloaded models and settings, then quits the app. Uninstalling afterwards (drag Recordist to the Trash) leaves nothing behind.

Without opening the app

Delete this folder and the app itself:

~/Library/Application Support/app.recordist.desktop/

Then remove the keychain entries in Keychain Access under “Recordist” (the API token and any provider key). On Windows the folder is %APPDATA%\app.recordist.desktop\; on Linux ~/.local/share/app.recordist.desktop/.

What we hold, and how to delete that

If you bought a plan, we hold your email, the plan and the Stripe records; tax law requires keeping transaction records for a period. If you used a form on this site, we hold what you typed. Email [email protected] and we delete what we legally can within 30 days. Nothing from inside the app was ever with us to delete.
